No sprawl can be anything outside the city centre, that spreads people out farther away. Bad sprawl are large spread out lots with unwalkable streets. Good sprawl is compact walkable with a street grid etc

It's a very loose definition to begin with. Many Asian countries also have SkyTrain-type lines called "LRT" - the difference being that they're smaller and slower than conventional metros or even SkyTrains, and more like grade-separated trams.

Seriously, everyone fill out the survey and be sure to demand skytrain for Langley at the end.

The video may be ambiguous to the technology choice, but the info graphics on the website are pretty clear about it being surface LRT, aka, not skytrain.

Alright, filled out the survey.

Made sure to voice my concern over phase two being LRT (to Langley) and how it makes no sense, especially with the Expo Line currently terminating looking directly at Langley.

Seriously, they want to build it as a 16km long at grade LRT with only 8 stops... My god that will be slow going along Fraser.

Call me crazy but such station spacing sounds like the job for skytrain IMO...

Have done both. Made if very clear I do not support street-grade LRT along Fraser Highway unless a proper business case from Translink proves it is the best choice over SkyTrain. A little longer than this though....

Complete waste of money. They are better off extending Skytrain down Fraser Hwy with the 2 Billion this street car route will cost.

LOL at the KG @ 102ave intersection. It reminds me of that fucked up crossing near NAIT station in Edmonton. Let's also not forget the elephant in the room, 104ave. 1 lane in each direction is downright stupid.

Also, a reminder why at-grade crossings are not reliable. No matter how much precautions you implement, you cannot prevent human error.

2 billion dollars for this level of quality? The Vancouver Streetcar had far superior street interactions than this (and more separation).

That intersection alone makes me never want to drive down King George ever again. Yikes.
