I know the project is dead, but driving down lakeshore the other day and I couldn't help but think how 🞵🞵🞵🞵 that Arquitectonica project would look at the northeast lot of LSE. I love Vista but that old project would have looked great. Spyguy, you got any secret info on that lot?

Well, I think Chicago got a better deal in the end because the Vista site IS the same site that the Arquitectonica building was proposed for.

I was talking if they moved it from the Vista site to the NE site so it would run parallel to lakeshore drive.

Looks like the first tower at Lincoln Common got a foundation permit.
Curbed says 20 stories... I thought it was approved for 19. Not that I'm complaining though!

This maybe should be in the Hyde Park thread even though the site is technically Woodlawn.

BVic, if you're there is it looking likely that the Union West project will pass today?

amazing how godfrey used to feel like the NW boundary, especially when it was out there by itself and unfinished with plastic on it. Now it's buried

The Emerson's podium is great. I would love to see that driving down Halsted in greek town as parking podium. Go shadows go.

I'm finally happy to see a proposal that isn't some flat glass box or dopey "sliced minimalism"

Love the different massings, vertical and horizontal expressions.

That looks very London-esque.

Stellar. Dense human scale at street level, levity above. Should even convert some nimbys.

The massing of this proposal reminds me a lot of what is being done in Toronto

The second tower (20 stories) at the former Children's Memorial Hospital in Lincoln Park was issued a new construction permit yesterday.
