Drove through the city today. Grabbed some shots. Oh, and first post (long time lurker). Don't have a clue if these photos will work.

Opus Place

I noticed Xs spray painted on the 14th St. trees in front of Opus Place. I guess they are serious about starting this year.

This is a retail plan that included 1125 Peachtree

Wonder how applicable it still is.

I'm counting around 40 floors. That will be impressive, perhaps 700-800ft tower, assuming at lease half of those will be commercial.

I had to go search for a rendering after reading that blurb, I forgot about this project. How relevant in this rendering for this year?

That's not the current proposal but another version of the same pre-recession plan that included office space, a small number of condos, and a boutique hotel.

Do you have a link to the current rendering?

^ Wow, that's really nice! I count 27 floors on the office tower, so 400+ feet given the crown would be a reasonable estimate. Really like the design!

Is 1105 going to be taller than Apogee?

Since condo/apartment floors are around 11-13 feet and commercial floors are between 16-21 feet, I would say this would look measurably taller.

I don't know about Apogee/Icon, but this rendering shows it in comparison to Atlantic House and Skyhouse Midtown.

Developer Selig Enterprises, which has been involved in an array of ventures around the city for the last 100 years, has announced their intentions to construct a major mixed-use development in the heart of Midtown.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the project’s anchor would be a 32-story office tower with 645,000 square feet of space. A second tower would include 80 residential units and a 150-key boutique hotel.

Goodbye JR Crickets; its been nice!

30+ story tower for North and Courtland/Juniper. Makes that 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 Proton center even more out of place.

Wow I thought that lot would be a midrise from what the permits said. Did not expect a 30 story tower. Cannot wait! Can't say I'm a fan of the base of the tower though.

Announcements heating up

After a bit of a lull, announcements in Midtown are smoking again...1125 Peachtree, 1105 West Peachtree, North and Juniper, Opus.

Nice height (30+ stories) with these too.

Now, if Eviva would friggin get moving.
