I don't know if there is any legal basis, but there was a post in early April with 50+ replies to a gentleman stating he was ready to pursue legal action. I think many of the homeowners in the area must have been promised by their realtors/builders that the train noise was only temporary, and it has gone on far longer than most anticipated. I certainly don't think RTD misled the public about the horns, but perhaps a few homeowners should be taking their concerns up with their real estate agents rather than RTD.
To be fair, there are several homeowners in the neighborhood that don't mind the train noise, and some (like myself) even enjoy it. It reminds us that we're living in an actual, functioning city. The sound of the train suggests that we're connected to something larger than the immediate world around us and I find it comforting.
