I drive by this everyday and the pace of work is baffling. They excavate some then stop, excavate some more then stop. I figured once they had a machine on-site that it was gonna be fast and furious.
I am sure there is a reason for this roller coaster of activity.
Now too that they are there and clearing land, I am wondering how the hotel and 2 restaurants will all fit in there and have adequate parking. Maybe that is a reason, and that there already are 2 nearby, that a gas station is no longer part of the plan.
Talked to someone with City regarding progress with Province on traffic here at off-ramp and he (he is not in engineering but is a manager so he is in on meetings) said that the province was eluding that a round-about may be in the future.
