FWIW, count me among those who think this thread should be for discovering and sharing ugly architecture among us architecture/urbanism enthusiasts.

However, if tolerating occasional Clockzilla/Nickelback "pollution" is the ransom of getting MolsonEx back as a forum participant, it's certainly a good deal for SSP Canada, all things considered.

I walked by this place a couple weeks back and it is now a uni-driveway. The streetview is the phase just before. They also got rid of most of the lawn on the front righthand side.

I don't know how people can live in places like that. I understand cost most be a huge factor but setting like those last few posts would depress the hell out of me.

I have never seen anything like that last one. It begs the question "Why?". The ugliness is secondary in this instance.

All new communities are being built with water features now where all the storm runoff goes.

Biggest reason for all these are the bullshit density rules requiring so many houses per acre, causing all houses to be built on top of each other now. Same shit happens out here in Airdrie, where you used to have 4-5 houses in a cul-de-sac you now have 8-10.

Should also state, around the new communities with water features, they are generally quite nice with good pathway systems and bridges, drove by one the other day and was quite surprised with how nice it has turned out.
