All new communities are being built with water features now where all the storm runoff goes.
Biggest reason for all these are the bullshit density rules requiring so many houses per acre, causing all houses to be built on top of each other now. Same shit happens out here in Airdrie, where you used to have 4-5 houses in a cul-de-sac you now have 8-10.
Should also state, around the new communities with water features, they are generally quite nice with good pathway systems and bridges, drove by one the other day and was quite surprised with how nice it has turned out.
