CHOP completes $275M center for pediatrics

CHOP has completed a $275 million, 21-story tower called the Roberts Center for Pediatric Research. It consists of 466,000 square feet of clinical research and office space on a portion of the site along Schuylkill Avenue. CHOP has begun relocating employees in phases that had been working from 3535 Market St. and, between now and 2022, 1,200 people will be working from the space. The Roberts Center is the first of what could eventually be a four-building master planned campus of more than 2 million square feet. When the second building might kick off is unknown at this point though a site has already been readied for that structure.
