I think the more apt comparison is to the Rockefeller center Christmas tree... being a year round draw like that. Plus you can't really interact with a tree, no matter how nice... you can actually use the stairs and see different vantage points at different times, you can admire it and be part of it and each person can take that experience whatever way they pereceive. It's interactive art of the best kind. I just really love the whole HY project.... and to think this is just the first phase. There's a whole new neighborhood to be formed yet... the character will be more residential and quieter with only one tower to be used for commercial purposes and not nearly the retail capacity, but it will have its own vibe as well. The West Side as a whole will be an amazing addition to New York.
