Their website has the same photo, but with the caption "Retail on the beltline!", so I think it's going on the east side. I thought the hotel was on the west side. But honestly reviewing the renderingns more I have no idea what development is proposed where on site:

Yes, yes and Yes as far as we know.

Here is the conceptual site plan for the Studioplex redevelopment. Elements of the plan have obviously changed since this was created but the location of the townhomes is the same.

I thought the townhomes were going to be in the purple box next to Edgewood Avenue.

According to the press release, that site is for a future phase.

If they can leverage Serpas as the restaurant for the "boutique hotel" that would be an excellent fit: brunch, dinner with a new-orleans-vibe. I know the guy who did that weird hand sculpture by the bathrooms

Nice! Looks like the townhouses just above Edgewood are beginning site work as well! These two developments will be great additions, helping connect existing neighborhoods back to downtown!

Sigh!! The retail development on both the Eastside and Westside are making things difficult for Midtown to get any retail going. According to the article, Apple has expressed concern about the viability of retail on the Midtown mile but before PCM that location wouldn't have been attractive to them either.

Might be time for folks to admit that Atlanta may simply never have a 'high street' like NYC, SF, Chicago, or Seattle.

I wouldn't go that far. There may never be one in Atlanta but it won't be because of one retailer. Midtown needs to establish a destination like Colony Square, prove it is successful and more will come.

After reading the full article, there are so many "coulds" in it that its almost worthless.

I'm sure when it's all said and done, it'll be PCM because it has already shown that it is a successful redevelopment and the demographics in the surrounding area are perfect for Apple.

There is a good reason they are sitting on that much cash. They make good business decisions and only build in proven markets.

I guess you are right. But it's hardly as if the Beltline or Midtown are abandoned urban wastelands.
