cool night downtown yesterday. I saw more people on the balconies at one time in the icon towers than i have in 7 years of living there. like 3 fold. even chatted with the people right below me while leaning over the edge.

Does anybody else find it as infuriating as I do when they show outdated skyline shots and pics from around the city on NHL broadcasts?

^ The one 2010 shot of the EPCOR Tower going up is just brutal.

ah yes. the classic nighttime shot from the north.

Night time shot from the south typically has a crane on Epcor as well.

Day time shot they were using yesterday was from August....and one from a few weeks ago which was a surprise to see.

They always do that... it looked good though vis a vis the non-Epcor ones they used to use.

Drives me nuts.
Especially because of the rapid changes around the arena.

You mean the shot that doesn't even show ROGERS PLACE the very location they are broadcasting from? No it does not bother me at all. NOT.

Think Zack Kassian having that moment with a fan after scoring Oiler's third goal - might be t-h-e image of the 2017 playoffs no matter what.

Paul Grant at ESPN opines:

The Oilers were as good as cooked. After the young team blew a three-goal lead in the last 3:16 and then lost in double OT in Game 5, expectations were very low heading into Game 6. But the best story of the playoffs lives on after the Oilers responded with a dominant win over the Ducks to force what should be a thrilling Game 7.

Leon Draisaitl, not Connor McDavid, was the story, joining an elite group of Oilers with five-point playoff games. But no matter what happens in Game 7, the Oilers have shown they have more than enough character to be considered a legitimate contender worthy of being in the final four.

The Edmonton Oilers announced all 18,000 tickets available for the Orange Crush Game 7 Watch Party presented by Rogers sold out in less than two minutes today. The Watch Party, scheduled for Wednesday, May 10 at Rogers Place, will air the live Sportsnet broadcast of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoff series between the Oilers and Anaheim Ducks.

Net proceeds from ticket sales support the initiatives of the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.

This is the seventh Orange Crush Watch Party presented by Rogers of the Oilers 2017 playoffs. Total Watch Party ticket sales at Rogers Place have now exceeded 100,000, including four sellouts of 18,000.

If someone has the time and photoshop talent to put an Oilers jersey on Mr. Fudd, please do so and post it here

Great to hear. I hope we can build this into a much larger event.

At least the series is finally over so that I no longer have to put up with that horrible "Immigrant Song" remix as the Oilers entrance song in Anaheim.
