Colour scheme for the seats looks a lot like TD Place.

^^ Fascinating.. maybe their home town hockey team sports those colors just like the RedBlacks football does.

This new arena will be a welcome compliment to Canada's facilities, It'll put it in the scale of a little larger than Medicine Hats' Canalta Arena but maybe a little smaller than Halifax ScotiaBank Centre.
I really hope this arena adds whole new leg of music tours & sporting events to the Maritimes.
Last night Thomas Rhett had concert at Brandt Centre in Regina but his tour in Canada doesn't go any further East than that

I think it will have a major impact on bringing events to the Maritimes. New mid-sized arenas seem to be a proven draw. Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, for instance, has seen plenty of concerts and even sometimes draws acts away from Regina; Bob Dylan is playing Saskatoon and Moose Jaw this summer.

The Moncton WildCats sport the same colours as their affiliated owners Irving Oil: Blue, Red, White (and some yellow here and there). Black, red, grey doesn't scream WildCats to me. Probably trying to distance themselves from the perception that the arena was built just for the hockey team.

You can thank the location and not necessarily the venue itself for getting those acts.

Moose Jaw, Regina and Saskatoon are right in the middle of Big markets. so it's costing less for promoters to bring them as they'll drive nearby anyway.

This is the major problems for concert in the East Coast, as not only it's a long drive to get there PLUS they have to pay a good chunk of the travel back ($$$).

There's numerous examples of shows that happened in Halifax/Moncton where the ticket prices was double the price of the same show in Montreal.

Yes and No that location is important for concerts that come to Saskatchewan.

Neil Diamond's tour that stopped in Saskatoon two years ago could have been easily skipped since it was his first stop in Western Canada after Mexico City and Missouri concerts.
Garth Brook's concerts last year for hundred thousand people at SaskTel Centre wasn't due to proximity to his previous stops just before. Having a suitable venue with 3/4 million population within a couple hours drive without having to get a hotel probably plays a factor in securing these concerts.

Saskatoon is largest city followed by Regina, then Fargo when considering the Dakotas/Wyoming/Montana/Saskatchewan region.

Location does help when concert tours are passing through & Saskatoon & Regina happens to be largest cities in the region, with a young University student population.
That's probably one of the reasons why recent concert by Jimmy-Eat-World tour stopped in Saskatoon two weeks ago.

Location does play a role (although a negative one) in regards to Ottawa getting the usual big concert tours - I feel it's especially bad lately and most artists will do Montreal - Toronto and not stop in between because we're sandwiched between both cities.

It gets annoying because driving 2hrs to go (2hrs to come back) to Montreal every time you want to see a concert isn't fun.

Ottawa-Gatineau (a region of more than 1.2M people) should get these kinds of big ticket concerts (and most likely would) if we weren't in our current location.

They share the building with Moncton's basketball team so it's a bit surprising that they blatantly chose one team's colours over the other's.

The QMJHL/NBL split isn't exactly 50/50.

Miracles average attendance, 2015-16: 1 545
Wildcats average attendance, 2015-16: 4 331 (down from previous years)

What does that have to do with anything? They're both tenants who pay rent. By your logic, the ACC should be in Raptors colours because their attendance is higher than the Leafs.

Nice upgrade. Reminds me a little of what they did in Ottawa.

Got another brief tour of the stadium last night. Finishing touches coming along very nicely.

Also, the perimeter construction fence is now gone so you can now walk around the whole exterior of the stadium.

^^^ Going to a game at New Mosaic this summer. I just know that after that, I will never want to go to a game in Cowtown ever again.
