Weird, huh?
You'd expect those to light up, wouldn't you?
I'd expect them to light up as bright as the office tower edges -
brighter than the condo ones.

Thanks for taking those pics, mcminsen! You're right, it's l'hermitage. Still hate the Beasley then, except for the nice cafe in the podium.

Are there any units in the transition floors in between the overhangs or are they mechanical floors?

I'd imagine them to be really dark

Yes, they are condos on those floors - they have big roof decks - so a bit of a trade-off wrt light, I guess.

If only I could look into the future 20-30 years from now to see how many finicky aspects of this building are in disrepair.

Repairs underway on the edge lighting on one of the protruding boxes on the office tower.

Renderings of the Henriquez office from Henriquez twitter:
(I guess the offices are too messy for real photos)

Looks like something from a 60s James Bond movie as the headquarters of Spectre or another bad guy.

To clarify here, those are photographs. They were taken a couple weeks before the office was occupied in November 2015, and the company that supplied the office furniture decided to post them on twitter recently.

Currently, the office is much more 'lived in' lets say. Looks like the thriving office you'd expect.

Is that an office chair I see? I though the justification for the intrusion into the public realm was that these boxes were going to be some sort of fantastic garden? Another Vision fail.

That's good, though I was initially referring to the condo tower edge lighting, it will all be a never-ending saga of replacing LED light bars behind these panels until they just give it up. I wonder what the cost of each bar is, considering it appears there's at least 2 behind each panel. The frames for these lighted bands are just white painted steel right? It will look great when they get red rust streaks down the seafoam glass...

I can't believe these lighted bands were a cheaper option than the original stone.

Wow, thanks.
I guess they were processed to look "airbrushed".

Yeah they were definitely heavily processed. For example, in the second photo you can see the small circular openings on the top of the desks to allow for cables etc, but they've been photoshopped out in the other images.

While it looks nicein photos, it also looks like that would be a rather office environment. Having worked in different types of offices from different eras, I personally do prefer having some space separation between workstations and softer surfaces to absorb noise.

i think it is way to sterile and it must be loud when trying to talk on the phone with people. i can't say i like it; i think it takes the "open office" too far.

If you want a real laugh, go look at the space in use. I walked past it on my way home today. You can see it looking down the elevator/staircase opening. There was paper piled up EVERYWHERE.
