Now that the crane is gone from Fox 2, how long will it be until they remove the hoarding and reopen the sidewalk? The market moves back to 4th in a couple of weeks.

We were told end of May, then heard July. I am inquiring. Time for that to go.

How will they configure the downtown market if they don't open that sidewalk? The layout from the past couple of years won't work anymore with Encore construction closing part of 102 Ave.

They have been working with the COE, 4th Street etc. to look at options such as going further north on 104st.

I can't overstate how excited I am at what's happening in downtown Edmonton right now.

This is what I've wanted to see since the early 80s when I was a weird kid in middle school and Edmonton first struck my fancy.

They painted the stalls yesterday on the street.

Almost complete Fox 2 tower, the white one with the red accent on top. Recently completed Ultima Tower, the one in the centre. Norquest College campus expansion under construction, the short white building in the distance.

This light industrial area of Edmonton just north of downtown needs more residential projects like this. This area is one of the few areas in the city where the roads are wide enough for angle parking. There are a lot of neat developments that can be done to take advantage of the angle parking. A good example would be Quebec City style row housing with additional suites above accessed by a curved metal staircase.

I love the new additions to MacEwan University but do we really need surface parking? The whole length of the street is in bad shape and needs proper sidewalks, c’mon Edmonton, stop dragging your feet.

I had to take a skyline shot from the 156th Street railway overpass. The skyline will significantly change in the next couple of months.

Needs more residential like this, yes, but whoever thought that project should have commercial/retail along the entire front grade of that project in that location should set fire to whatever professional degree they claim to hold. It makes ZERO sense.

Likewise! What about Edmonton struck your fancy? I find it interesting when people from outside Edmonton like the city.
I did a presentation about SE USA back in grade 7 and Atlanta really made an impact on me. never been but want to go.

Great to see, this lowers the available office space area by converting it into residential which adds more people and life to the core. I hope we see more of this going forward on these older buildings.

The condos are between 1,060 square feet and 3,300 square feet in size. The remaining units range in price from $550,000 to a $2.9-million penthouse.
