(But to be fair like Victoria Ottawa has no real Skyline), It's just a bunch of Hills, the Occasional Canal Shot, & The Parliament Building's. It's very hard to get everything all in 1 Shot in Ottawa (without using a drone), Which is likely why the vast majority of Ottawa Skyline Shot's are only the partial Skyline. Gatineau is easier to Photograph than Ottawa by alot. If u get the Downtown Buildings then u Miss Parliament Hill, If u get Parliament Hill then u Miss the Downtown Building's. It's just like Victoria. It's near impossible to get the Inner Harbour & all the Buildings in 1 Single Shot. Usually the Inner Harbour Alone is large enough to take up the whole image alone.
Ottawa & Victoria simply put just have far too many buildings & Apartments that are too spread out.
Here are great examples of places to look at the Ottawa skyline:

Portage bridge:

Champlain bridge (requires lense but you get a nice merger of Ottawa-Gatineau):

U of Ottawa:

Although the view from UOttawa is much better if you are in a building. Surprisingly very few shorts from there...Used to go to the library all the time in undergrad just to stare at the skyline.

Most representative view but very old...

I took this one 6 years ago. Nice vantage point, but not exactly accessible to the public. (at least, if you don't have business there) Anyway, people from the region will know where I took it.

Gorgeous! This would look even better now with all the developments in the market area.

I like how Gatineau and Ottawa merge into one there as well.

A 200 m proposal is still in the works. It would be located around the center of the pano I posted, slightly to the right of Parliament Hill.

This one is really good.

Wow. Tosin banned. I guess dozens of people complaining really can get things done.

That guy was quite odd, not really surprised. That city size thread was interesting to read to say the least...

That's gonna get you far.

Really? I didn't know either where it was from so I looked at the link and this clearly states that it is Edmonton:
https://twitter.com/IanOyeg/status/859826599264256000

But yea, please put the name of the city if there are no obvious landmarks.

PS, the Tosin business just made my day. We'll see June 1st though whether he's back with a different username.

If no-one ever put the city name to their photos it would be a pain in the ass. However, I enjoy it when one like this comes along and a familiar city is made unfamiliar from the chosen perspective. We experience things differently when we are unfamiliar with the whole. I wish it were possible to get lost here in Vancouver just for the sensation. But, alas, I cannot do it.

Tosin: he may be suffering from an illness, but he takes up too much space too often. I hope he moves to his crazily determined little city and lives a nice quiet life.
