The Ogilvie Mill in Winnipeg looked like this for a decade before it was demolished.

It took some time but I found the first mention of les Residences Soleil Laval in this thread. Shockingly it wasn't Molson Export.

These apartment buildings built into a ditch. They remind me of squished sea cucumbers, or some fat slug-like thing sticking its tongue out to touch the road.

I get what they are trying to mimic. The same scheme as the fishing buildings in Bonavista, but just no.

Don't even notice the red accents. I guess that sort if thing is just background noise to me now lol. When I redo my house I'm going with purple clapboard, teal accents, and an orange door.

Wouldn't that be a wheelchair ramp? Although one would figure you could have done a little more site analysis before you started building and not needed it.

the ramp is definitely original and no one cared about wheelchairs access when this tower was built.

The site is a steep slope/cliff before construction. Maybe they were playing off of that.

It also avoids the potential pitfalls of having a steep driveway down to a basement garage. Pretty clever, istm.
