Likewise, watch for the Ducks to target Giordano if they're dumb, Brodie if they're smart to balance things out after the Fowler situation.

I'd love to know why the Flames series gets CBC coverage while the Oilers series is shunted off to Sportsnet.
They have gone back and forth all year, I don't have SN360, so I missed the first 2 games of our California roadtrip last week because the Oilers got SN West. The second round would probably give the Oil priority should both teams make it.

Tkachuk isn't that dirty, he's actually a really smart guy, just forgets that you can't get away with shit in the NHL like you can in Junior. This kid is going to be clutch for the Flames, we just need to avoid getting caught up in shit with Kessler and Perry.

I'm not doubting the talent, just the restraint. Marchand is another one that needs to fix his game or his talent will no longer exceed his liabilities. Tkachuck will not change as long as he maintains the attitude that he's done nothing wrong. With that said, the Marancin slewfoot was not a slewfoot but is a perfect example of how closely he's going to be watched these playoffs.

Going to game 1, woo!

Where are people planning on watching out of curiosity? Whyte, Downtown, Home, other?

I'll be watching from home and introducing my son to Oilers playoff hockey. Oilers have been awful for his whole life, so this is very foreign to him. It's just a shame the games start so late. I really pity Oilers fans who moved to the east coast.

Watching from home with the fiancé as she gets into Oiler hockey. She's become an Oiler fan after growing up in Ontario her whole life!

Definitely needs to work on his restraint. Like I said, you can get away with a lot in Junior hockey.

You guys will have to post some pictures from the first game there tomorrow bet there will be pandemonium!

Well... the way I see it. The Oilers played well only for the last 15 minutes of the first. They just played like shite. I don't think SJ experience had much to do with their win. The Oilers had fragmented plays everywhere. Just out of position and not taking their man when they should have.

It was experience and a different level of play in the playoffs that the Oilers will need to achieve if they are to win a game.

It looked like men against boys for most of the game

It's just the 1st game out of a possible 7. The sky-is-falling hysterics among so-called fans is amusing to me.

SJ experience was definitely a factor, they picked the Oilers apart from the second on. I think the biggest thing was the young guys in Edmonton were just super excited in the first, but their inexperience took over and they pretty much ended up watching the Sharks the rest of the way. Should be another close game tomorrow.

If the Oilers can adjust it will be a long series.

If not then they will get bounced pretty quick.

It was a huge factor. They basically shut down the Oilers for the whole game, aside from that first period really.

Oilers better hope they don't go down 2-0 to SJ going back to California or they're in trouble.

Or the Oilers just played like garbage. I've been watching both of these teams all year.

The Oilers decision making and lack of effort was their down fall. Its just another game. Same line ups pretty much for both teams.

As soon as the word Playoff game enters the equation people start to go crazy with experience this experience that.

We were up 2-0. Gee must have been all that playoff experience the Oilers had.

Then, 3 unanswered goals by SJ. Must have been all that playoff experience they have
