They are moving the store to Avalon, not opening another store. There will be no Apple Store at North Point.

Bisnow says AMLI has filed permits to begin work on the second tower and the additional midrise section of its Lenox project.

Will that complete the buildout of the old "Lenox superblock"? Is there anything else slated for that immediate area?

Crescent Lenox I believe? Although I'm not sure if this project has moved forward:

Why do so many of these developers still insist on having tacky above ground parking decks instead of underground parking?

It's cheaper for them to build.

Because it is more expensive to built underground. The only way this can reverse with all new large projects in Atlanta, is if some kind of new law is passed enforcing underground parking for larger projects.

Not much grinds my gears more than the detached above ground parking garages, but the rooftop pools on top of the above ground parking garages really frustrate me for some reason.

Considering the location...It would be a ridiculous business decision to do underground parking.

Thanks! That is actually a pretty cool building.

It'll be great for the area when they give East Paces Ferry the Complete Streets treatment. I assume something similar will be done on Lenox, too. That could go a long way toward making the train station feel more like part of the neighborhood.

Was there really activity on the Eviva site (related to construction)?
After the various replies, I was never really sure if the news was true or not (fake news?)
