Just like how no one can sue the City for imposing viewcones I suppose? Or how the City forces developers to contribute to this and that?

I think Gas Stations are essential services at the moment, especially when the world is still not ready to have 100% electric cars on the roads.

But you can't target individual land owners and erode their property value, that goes against the property rights that the owners enjoy in Canada.

The city would need to buy the station at current value or pay out the owners lost development potential value, which needless to say would be very expensive and not worth the convenience of saving a driver a few minutes of not needing to go to a different station.

Not always, definitely not. When the $CAD is above $.85USD there are many more products that are better value on Amazon.com. At the current X I find most of what I buy is better priced on .ca, especially staple items.

That being said, I almost always comparison shop between .com / .ca no matter the seller. I'm often surprised by either extension. No hard rules IMHO.

I stopped into COS today, it feels much smaller than the pictures made it look. Not bad, prices are pretty decent and the quality is much better.

in the article about the expansion, it says that Bailey Nelson had agreements or licensed stores here in Vancouver but had those all ended to open up their own Corporate run stores. The former stores have rebranded and retail insider will do a future story on what is going on with them.

Seems Eyewear stores are really opening a lot recently. Hong Kong eyewear brand MUJOSH opened their first Canadian store in West Edmonton Mall. I suppose we can expect to see a MUJOSH store here.

New York based Warby Parker opened a store in Toronto with more coming, and New York based eyewear brand illesteva opened its first Canadian store in Toronto as well.

Glasses seem to be getting more popular these days. Too much time looking at screens?

Crossiron Mills Outlets, Rocky View

Ont
Vaughan Mills, Concord

Those are the only Mills locations on the list - is there enough to a connection between them to suggest they were playing hardball? Also now the only BC locations not picked up are Willowbrook and Robson (not in a mall so it wasn't gonna happen anyway).

Also they have the new 365 by Whole Foods. I wonder if they will bring that store here. looks good. Perhaps that's what they want for City of Lougheed?

Alberni Street/Luxury Zone is seeing quite the influx of luxury brands. Richemont will be doing 3 stores in the area over the next 12 months, a luxury footwear brand will open its first store, and a significant brand will relocate to a considerably bigger space. Also, Montecristo jewellers will be replacing Italian Kitchen -- lots of big changes happening.

Only their initial comment about having them all open between April and mid-summer.
