Hamilton needs a new modern tallest... I cringe everytime I see that current one which always dominates the skyline.

Pretty much. It's on the ugly side and it just kind of sits alone out there... I don't know why it gets made the focal point of so many Hamilton skyline photos.

The second tallest, Stelco Tower, looks way better and is situated in a flattering cluster of buildings, yet it gets far less prominence in skyline shots posted here.

Love that Hammer shot! I like the current tallest, though I wouldn't be sad at all if anyone were to build a higher tower then it. I can see why people think it's ugly, but I think it's just unique comparative to some generic 70's residential apt building, especially since it deviates highly from a slab.
