Exactly that was the place. I wasn't really paying attention to my surrounding. I was more interested in the snow mess outside the window.

Thomas that McMaster render looks really sharp. The black brick looks amazing and contrasts nicely with the other materials.

I'm not sure where to post this. There is a poll on Check 6 Victoria on building heights. There is a proposal by Townline to build a 30 story tower along with a 17 story tower. Maybe some people on here can vote "no" so in favor of taller building heights. Sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this.

There should be material restrictions in downtown Victoria: bring back modern-interpretations of Victoria's gorgeous Victorian architecture and less mediocre wannabe glass towers.

I agree some of the newer towers fall short of what could be built. Townline is holding a community meeting showing the difference between the approved 24 story tower to the 30 story building. They said they would be able to a leaner design at 30.

Wow that 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵, when I voted it was 48% in favor of taller buildings so the NIMBY's and morons have really mobilized since then.

Via Bloor Condos. A few new renders. While this design is nothing new I'm looking forward to how this will create a new enhanced gateway into the downtown core from the Viaduct. Right now it's just a few boarded up homes with St Jamestown rising behind them.

It will act as a marker/gateway to downtown. As such, it would have been nice if it were a whole lot taller. The public realm looks top notch though.
