Quite frankly I'm more worried about a repeat of 2006 rioting.

I am not. Different city, multiple options and areas to celebrate.

Not to mention that high quality video in most people`s hands means no hidding after the fact.

Sure, things will always occur by a small group or 2, but I do not see repeating what we saw in 2006.

We stopped by after the game, everyone was pumped!

My only gripe was the volume of the music. We had to practically yell at each other at our table.

I swear it seems like all your remaining games are against teams the Oilers play the night before. Nice little scheduling magic there, NHL.

Their three games this week all have the teams playing in Edmonton the night before, ironic since a certain Calgary hockey forum insists we always get the end of the B2B's......

We have to play all 3 California teams 2 more times, while you get the Canucks 2 times, so it's probably easier for the Oilers down the stretch...

It's fun to watch the bartender mouth to you: "Order? Order? You want to order?"

I feel like teams losing their first game in a back to back usually come out tougher in the second. So the Flames are gonna have a tough time after Oilers wins all their games

Awesome tune from Cadence Weapon:

Cadence Weapon drops Connor McDavid track to celebrate Oilers playoff berth

'I wanted to harness that energy in a song, and it feels like the timing is perfect now,' musician says
By Wallis Snowdon, CBC News Posted: Mar 30, 2017 1:20 PM MT Last Updated: Mar 30, 2017 1:20 PM MT

Edmonton born rapper and longtime Oilers fan Cadence Weapon has dropped a new track celebrating Connor McDavid. (Cadence Weapon/Twitter)

Members of Oilers Nation have a new anthem.

Rapper Cadence Weapon — a.k.a. Roland "Rollie" Pemberton — has dropped a track celebrating the team, and their venerated captain Connor McDavid.

When the boys in copper and blue clinched a spot in the NHL playoffs for the first time since 1996 Tuesday night, a kind of hysteria took hold in Alberta's capital city.

'It was like a fever pitch'

And the Edmonton-born rapper took advantage of the excitement and released his new single, titled Connor McDavid.

"I felt the energy when I was in Edmonton over the holidays and it was like a fever pitch," said Pemberton. "People were going so crazy about Connor McDavid and the Oilers and I wanted to harness that energy in a song, and it feels like the timing is perfect now."

Seems like an issue throughout Rogers Place. Granted, I haven't gone since early in the season, but the music was way too loud in the arena bowl as well. Hopefully now that the crowd has woken up, they'll tone that part down a bit (and may well already have, as mentioned it's been a bit since I went).
