I just went by there and couhnted 29 or 30 floors so it still has another 9-10 floors to go.

I love all the different angles of Midtown being post lately! That picture shows how much room for additional infill Atlanta has. As exciting as our development cycle has been, plenty more to look forward to.

880 next to Alta midtown is going to be great infill for Midtown. That publix is about to get absolutely bombarded. Even with Whole Foods coming, I hope Midtown gets yet another grocer closer to Peachtree in the near future.

I live across the street from that publix in Alta and I must say that it is always busy no matter the time of day.

I believe he was referring to how busy the Publix is throughout the day at Plaza Midtown.

Also Atlanta has broken the $50/ft barrier for Office Rents. And it isn't happening in Buckhead, Perimeter, Midtown, or Downtown. Ponce City Market broke that barrier. Which makes it more unfortunate that 525 North couldn't get financing.

Why in the world isn't that spurring more (taller) office building construction then?

Ponce City Market office space is really really desirable and very very limited, plus they're only advertising it at 50 dollars per square feet....that doesn't mean they're going to get it.

Is there anywhere that publishes average $/sqft office lease rates then? Whats it like in midtown, downtown, buckhead, etc

According to JLL, urban office space averaged $29.43 per square foot in Q4 2016, but this is Downtown, Midtown, and Buckhead included, so Midtown and Buckhead are certainly above 30 dollars a square foot now.

I knew what he was talking about. I was referring to seeing pictures of the inside of Alta. But you solved that issue with your link. Thanks for that, it's the first time I've seen pictures of the actual units inside. It's a rather nice building.

Really wish we have more construction cams active, so many things going on it is really disappointing that we do not have more active..If anyone knows of more please post the link.'?? Plus WTF is the hole at CODA so deep?

I live at Atlantic House. Currently from our 32nd floor roof top, Apogee is at 31 floors currently, and almost at eye height. From looking at the building, and remaining 8 floors to go, we will certainly be craning our necks on the 32nd floor looking up at it. Apogee will be starkly taller.

The hole for CODA is for underground parking for the project.

They're getting it alright. This is why New City (led by a former Jamestown executive) is developing office next door to PCM with 725 Ponce project because they're providing complimentary office space to meet the demand for the area. There is a desire to have the benefits of the Beltline as well as loft office space that's in a booming area.

That crane is really getting jacked...
In fact it looks like it will be the tallest crane in Midtown since Symphony Tower..
