Lets keep that thread out of this one. This is our fun "UGLY" thread, the other is just ugly.

Some of you are acting like you own this forum. Well, it does not belong to you, or to people who feel they must make eight posts of utter banality per page in order to justify their existence and exclude and banish any opposing viewpoints.

And also, this thread is about architecture -- this forum's core subject.

BTW, politics are semi-related to urban affairs, so that's on topic too. Immigration policies, growth rates, infrastructure spending, job creation, etc. are all reasonably core matters for discussion here. (Not speaking of this thread, obviously, but rather, of others.)

Have you read any of the shit that guy said? I skimmed it without going into great depth and was disgusted. It has nothing to do with people feeling they rule the forum. It's about civility in 2017. The guy insults people who disagree with him then says it's just his opinion or an intellectual debate or some bullshit. All that after claiming women are stupider than men and aren't good at holding down jobs. What the fuck?!?

Well, this is what MolsonExport said when starting this thread:

Quote:
notice how I didn't say ugly Canadian (although, I am tempted to after reading through the Voting inequality in Canada to continue thread, and also after making the mistake of going to Walmart the other day).

I'm talking about ugly things in the neighborhood. The city. The countryside. In Canada. Person, Place, or Thing.

I checked his profile and it said his latest activity was today at 8:13 am! Not sure if he's creeping or if this is a glitch as I seem to recall it showing something similar one time when lio checked before. It might have even been the same time of 8:13 am.

Yep, he seems to read this forum almost daily! (Credit to the right person: it's our friend MonctonRad who spotted it, though of course anyone can look up a SSP username and see their last activity.)

BTW, given that Chad reneged on his exile, maybe MolsonEx can also bend, "due to popular demand"...

That SF building is much more sober/clean than Laval's kitchy seniors' home. Far less prominent too -- doesn't dwarf its surroundings.

Yea, SF has a nice new tower, didn't think it would already be at it's crown by now. Definitely looks phallic, which I forgot would be it's final shape.

Yeah in spite of it's phallic appearance I like the Salesforce tower. As for the Clocktower cousin I said cousin for a reason. It is decidedly less garish than Clockzilla but it's still in the same family tree. Just an 80's pomo version.

I still don't fully believe he's been creeping this particular thread. If he were he would have responded by now. We've thrown out so much red meat for MolsonEx he couldn't have possibly remained silent. My guess is he's stuck to checking building updates from China and internationally and avoided the Canada section. Did you ever try reaching out to him since you figured out who he is and found him on social media? If not you should. Tell him we all miss him and that we found Clockzilla's American cousin.

Send him this image as a calling card:

I don't think Chad Kroeger could look like any more of a dickhead than that.

A third of the time I'm on this site I now see the same east-Asian real estate broker with her info plastered on a M City render. As much as I'm trying to be interested in seeing how M City will turn out (I'm barely interested), I don't see how most people can take these kindof ads seriously:

A "Modern" Retirement Home

This retirement tower, likely bustling with NIMBY's, was built about 3 years ago, and is an eyesore. It's located in a rather grotesque area of Mississauga, full of rich schmucks and townhousing for a nearby University:
