wasn't there one year where it took them until January to win their second game against the western conference. 2014/15 I think.

I'm ok with the oil not making a splash on the trade deadline. I may be optimistic, but I really do think that second line is going to get things going.

although, that being said, the east is very strong this year. There is a good chance, montreal, NYR, Washington, Pittsburgh and Columbus will beat each other up and one of the few elite teams form the west could march their way to the SCF and take a run against an exhausted eastern team.

Flames and Oilers now tied with 78 points. Oilers still has higher seed due to 1 fewer game played. A couple of months ago, the Flames were near the bottom of the barrel.

The Kings are in 9th place and is the last team that could make us not be in the playoffs, important game tonight against them!! If we go 0.500 down the stretch, we will finish with 96 points. The Kings currently have 75 points with the same number of games played. In order to tie us, they will need to gain 21 points in 11 games which equates to a 10-0-1 record. Our remaining schedule is:

The magic number this morning is 13, once we reach a combined total of LA lost points + Oilers gained points of 13 we will clinch a playoff spot. If Oilers win tonight that magic number drops to 9.

The theme will be a simple: ‘Lets Go Oilers’.

The new jersey manufacturer (Adidas) for next year is only making one home jersey per team so I am thrilled that the Oilers choose orange going forward.

^ may want to talk about increased police presence - not for the fans - but for the regulars downtown causing issues - must be the weather but a lot of them wandering around.

Warm temps always brings more people out onto the street, good and less so. EPS presence downtown is quite significant with their expanded beats program.
