Don't make me side with my immigrant relatives when it comes to political correctness. I would even say my Mediterranean Canadian relatives would be offended by the non specific, more inclusive reference about them.

Do you think this would also qualify as 'mediterranean'.

Could it be in an aerial battle with the Laval Clocktower, Mr. Wonderful and Ezra?

The centurion lawn jockeys sort of scream "yes", although the price point may blur things a bit. I feel relatively comfortable, however, in suggesting that the owner is not a WASP.

I don't have time to do a new one up but here's one I did a couple years ago.

As an added bonus here's one with Ezra the Mothra worm, Gilles the Smog monster Duceppe and Clockzilla about to duke it out in front of Mississauga's city hall.

This certainly belongs in the ugly Canada thread!

I must admit I like the sound of Kim Jong Ezra Levant as McInnes calls him though...

Gavin's schtick as a Montreal drug addled dirtbag making fun of people in VICE doesn't come across quite so well when you are multi-millionaire media personality pushing 50. Too lazy to find a picture but he looks like absolute shit in the Israel video. Sweating so profusely I wouldn't be surprised if he just stayed up doing a ton of blow that trip.

Okay, I've heard these names in passing before, but have never really looked at anything about or by them (save for Ezra Levant). So after having perused those links and a few Youtube videos, two things seem pretty obvious to me:

1. This guy, Gavin McInnes? You know how people joke that someone's picture should be in the dictionary next to a word describing them to a tee? He's exactly what you think of when you think of the word "douchebag."

2. Amusing quote from one of those pages, quoted for truth: "One thing's for sure: if you actually need to clarify what you really think about the Holocaust or distancing yourself from Nazis, it's probably a good sign that it's time to sit down and take a hard look at what you're doing with your life."

Without meaning to suggest there are excuses for these rightwing morons, it's well-documented that visiting Jerusalem can enhance a political or religious tendency to the apocalyptic in some people. I've never been there, but apparently it's quite easy to become unhinged if you're already leaning toward the fringes.

That video was awkward to watch. Particularly the singing of the national anthem. In fairness I have heard there were some elements of the anti Islamophobia bill that went too far like never being able to criticize Islam or any of its practices. That's insane if true. I recognize that Muslims are the scapegoat du jour but you can't give one religion more rights than any others.

In any case those attending a rally to hear Kelly Leech and Ezra LeDouche speak were as stupid as you'd expect.

Fear not! For starters, it is not a "bill" but rather a non-legally binding private member's motion. It does not, cannot, by itself have any effect on free speech or hate speech in Canada. In this case, I think the motion would request that a committee consider what could be done to address problems of Islamophobia and other forms of religious discrimination.

Go the other direction. Just ban religion altogether. It creates a dozen or more brainwashed loons for every person it actually helps.
