That's my point. How can vacancy rates be zooming up if the population is increasing so rapidly. there were less than 2000 housing starts last year. I trust you understand that housing starts include apartments.
Clearly many of these starts are vacant. The average household size in Saskatoon is 2.5, so even if many of these were not vacant, there would only be room for less than 5000 - and vacancy rates would have plummeted.
