Actually at 465 feet that's almost 142 metres - significantly taller than 360 Main. It will be a sight to see.

^ it will be about 70-feet taller.

And noticeably taller than the other P&M towers.

Going by those heights, a good visual comparison might be found with Bow Valley Square 2 and 3 (in Calgary; height difference is comparable, 116m vs 143m)

This should help visualize what we may expect from 300 Main vs 360 Main

This picture is actually Bow Valley 2 (116m, 381 ft) vs Bow Valley 4 (134m, 440ft)

Here is Bow valley 3, the tallest one to the Right (it is 143 m, or about 469ft)
Bow Valley 2, 116m is to the left

And here is Bow Valley 3 (again on the right, the tallest of the 4 towers) with Bow Valley 2 (in the background on the left) -> This should be apps the difference between 360 main (~ Bow Valley 2) and 300 main (~Bow valley 3)

Thought this might be a good visual comparison, based on the heights that could be expected, for those who wish to have an idea of what that 70 foot difference might look like

As others have said, noticeably taller. Will stand out in a good way.

465' to the top of roof, so would adding 20' to 25' to get the total height be a good guess?

I am thrilled about the height of this thing but am extremely interested in how the podium is going to integrate with Winnipeg Square and the surrounding streets. The focal point will clearly be the SE corner, but this is also an opportunity to bring some life to Fort St. or leave it shut off as it is now. Can't wait to see the details!

Not in this case. 465-feet is to the top of the mechanical roof. That is as high as it goes. Top of the residential roof is ~40 feet lower.

I have a feeling they'll be plopping the new tower onto the existing foundation and calling it a day. Hopefully all the fancy podium stuff and the area in between 300 Main gets something similar to whats shown in the renders.

Winnipeg Square is a major asset to the REIT and huge feature for the new tower... it will be treated as such.

They are definitely active on the podium level and in between the towers.

This is actually where the greatest differences are between what is being drawn, and what was initially rendered.

In my opinion, it's an improvement.

I am really hoping to see a lot of vibrancy in this area in a couple of years.

This is great news. The unbuilt podium of Winnipeg Square contributes to a horribly dead feeling south of P&M. Not just in the evening after everyone has gone home, but all day, every day. Having 300 Main go up and having something happen to the space in between the two towers will be a godsend in terms of reducing the desolate wasteland feeling that you can currently get on Portage or Fort south of Main.

Awesome news! I'm patiently awaiting some upcoming news/renders on the project. Sounds like we should see something over the next couple months, hopefully, if construction is to get started in the near future.

Snapped this pic yesterday during my morning jaunt through the Skywalk system.

Snapped this from the Millenium Library.

They've started re-cladding the Main facing street-level areas. Glossy black. I think the new signs they put up last year were/are good foresight into the overall look.

Just re-sized to a large thumbnail, nice snap. (You can add an 'l' at the end of the letter number combo to make a large thumbnail)

I didn't realize that 220 Portage had horizontal LED's on each level. Is this new? It can't just be the up-lighting?

I guess maybe it is just the up-lighting. (sorry for the size)
