Is it me or does that seem to have less of that "certain urban feel" than the last conceptual rendering? I mean, the design looks better, but the feel of the street level just looks less inherently urban....where are the store fronts???

Looks like the're putting in the 5K SF of retail further down the road. Which is shown in the backgrounds beyond.

I like that they're placing more retail towards the transit station. Should encourage more walking between Memorial and Edgewood Ave. There's a fairly large residential base north of the rail line that I'm glad they're (seemingly) trying to engage.

Is it "slow moving progress" or has it stalled? I don't see many work trucks or much activity.

I know there were positive leasing rumors, so everything should hopefully move forward. Why would you build such a seemingly permanent leasing office unless you had strong interest.

This is a sales office, not leasing.

They are still pushing hard on the selling... I've gotten several calls/emails from the sales director. Apparently I was one of the first 100 to sign up for more information, so I am invited to preview floorplans/renderings/pricing next week before the main sales launch event in April. Plus I've seen print advertisements in several places recently, so they are still spending a good bit of money to get pre-sales. I think it is still on track.

Well, if the project is dead, they sure are spending a lot of money and effort to market it. There are several billboards advertising the project around the metro area, and there was a full page ad in Delta Sky magazine this month for it.

Northern Midtown Project

I liked this design, it's a shame they couldn't come together on financing.
Although I am sure the residential neighborhood in it's shadow would have given a good fight...

Midtown Atlanta tower proposal at 17th and Peachtree has stalled
Unveiled nearly a year ago, the tower would be the tallest in northern Midtown—if it ever gets off the drawing board

Fuqua's latest monstrosity which he is billing as "Avalon-like" and is one exit south of Avalon (thankfully far from the City of Atlanta):

That's not Fuqua- this is a Pope and Land project.

It still looks like a monstrosity of parking. Should go along great with the new trails proposed adjacent this site /s

That's in a suburb with low density and no transit, why would anyone build something there with less parking? Looks like a nice design to me. Mixed uses, multistory parking on the sides without streets, retail lining a pedestrian plaza. I wish Fuqua was proposing something that good for 17th and Northside.

Damn! For a second I thought he'd left the city. I was about to build a wall around 285.

Academy of Medicine Building Landscaping - 7th & West Peachtree St

Pretty impressive array of shrubs and other greenery being planted along the 7th St side now.

Looks like this is how they'll keep the unintended dog park abuse in check without benefit of fence and gate Midtown DRC chose not to support.

Looks pretty nice so far !

Anyone nearby able to capture a photo or two?

March Midtown DRC Meeting Cancelled

There will be no Midtown Development Review Committee Meeting this month. That's two months in a row.
