^ To be fair, the Wells pocket park is still unfinished. Maybe the building is just keeping it off limits to the public until the landscaping can be established and a maintenance contract set up.

Otherwise you'd have everyone traipsing through the mud and dogs crapping all over the place...

My admittedly hazy recollection is that the "park" area was always shown fenced and gated in renderings. I do wish the building had been built to the sidewalk on Wells if only to hide more of the turd next door from view.

Not sure if this was ever posted (I can't keep track!) ... but in February I also saw soil testing rigs in the other parking lots of Atrium Village, on two separate occasions. Anyone know the timing plans for Phase 2 and 3?

Maybe, in theory, it's security for after hours? They probably said they'll keep it open during park hours, and they should be held accountable if they try to keep it closed.

Better camera this time, not as clear of a day.

From the angle, I should see Vista rise up between Aon and Trump, or right behind 150 N. Riverside. I'll post this shot again when there's something new to see.

And if anyone wants to photoshop new buildings into this, feel free.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again – there needs to be a building taller than 311 Wacker to fill that gap between it and Sears.

Also excited to see how Riverline and Related's projects affect the depth on the south end.

They should, but nothing was written into the PD development statements to guarantee that, and the only bonus taken was upper setbacks and affordable housing.

Someone dropped the ball, as it stands now it's just a handshake agreement.

I think this is going to be a high rise - substantial hotel at the least.

All done after some very substantial caissons.

thanks for the update, harryc! I had such low expectations for this project, and, although it is still not a great building, I am very pleasantly surprised by its overall texture and most importantly, somehow achieving a heightened sense of transparency with the glazing...
