This is the other building featured in the Julius Shulman photoset that I posted yesterday. It's still
"Job 6269: Phelps and Morris, miscellaneous projects (Long Beach, Calif.), 1984". The sign on the side says "The Belmont" and "A Racquetball and Athletic Club".
These look like the racquetball courts.
A reverse view from near the "Sundeck" sign.
There was also a gym ...
... and a small pool.

The Belmont Athletic Club is still in business at 4918 E 2nd Street, Long Beach - just a stone's throw from yesterday's Gibraltar Savings location. The front has been opened up with large windows on the second floor. They've kept the Art Deco typeface.
