Personally if this is an attempted to slim down traffic as it sounds I don't see why they would not have on/off ramps going in either direction from Industrielle. It seems like a no brainer to me.

But of course that is just me.

There were a couple of more tidbits regarding the dogbone interchange project at Harrisville/Dieppe Blvd & Highway 15 in the T&T today.

- Construction will begin this summer, but will require three years to complete.

- The only work being done at Industrielle/Highway 15 will be an eastbound off ramp. The minister of transportation said there would "eventually" be a eastbound on ramp as well, but that this is not in the cards right now. There will be no overpass over Highway 15, and no connection to the westbound lanes of Highway 15.

I often wonder if the huge inconvenience of shutting a street / overpass entirely for a season is preferable to the major inconvenience of dragging the work out over a longer period of time.

I don't recall the widening of Mapleton a few years ago taking more than a summer. Moreover they managed to completely rebuild the Regent Street overpass in Fredericton last year...

Well I would sooner have them not close down the causeway and take longer. That's going to be a royal pain. They better make some traffic plans at the bridge crossing.

I just noticed Advanced Lodging is changing their address from 350 Elmwood Drive (next to National Bank) to 463 Elmwood. The remaining occupants of the former Pizza Twins building is 459 Elmwood. Could that be what's moving into the renovated section?

Status update on the McLaughlin Place development:

Subway

Pharmasave

Mixed retail strip (this is where Guacamole is going).

There are still two buildings in this development yet to be built, a second fast food drive-thru (possible A&W), and a second mixed retail building.

Word from Guacamole Mexican Street Food is that their new restaurant in McLaughlin Place on Morton Avenue is scheduled to open Wednesday, May 10th.

Here are a couple of updated site plans concerning the Caledonia Industrial Park South Subdivision, obtained from the April PAC pdf.

OBSERVATIONS:

(1) - It now appears that the only road access to the new industrial park will be via Price Street.
(2) - The Filles de Jesus access point is now listed only as a "municipal services easement".
(3) - There is a new roadway (Street "B"), which appears to be an extension of the "future street" leading to the proposed "Humphrey Brook Neighbourhood". This roadway extends northward towards the TCH. Could they be considering another interchange onto the TCH???
(4) - They have marked out three lots on the plan already (17-1, 17-10 & 17-12). These are all bordering on the TCH right-of-way. I presume that two of these are for MCS and Kubota. I wonder who had dibs on the third lot???
