I concur, kudos to Procura for really changing that whole corner, the Professional Building makeover was very nice as well.

Central Social Hall reopens in April, so it would be interesting to see how it looks after all this is done.

I think the renderings didn't do the reno justice. Looks pretty great so far.

So based on the Trump mathematics the Stantec Tower is actually over 70 stories.

Trump Tower is 63 not 69 stories

Agreed. The renders were kitchy. So far in real life it looks decent.

That's cos the tacky lighting isn't in place. Once it's lit up all Fast & Furious it'll look just like the renders.

Don't a lot of buildings advertise a floor count that is different than the total height? I mean, sure the idea of basing it on below ground parking is unusual, but how many marketing brochures are based on giving a floor level based on skipping various floors...and isn't that extremely common in vancouver due to asian influence and preference of those buyers?

Oh I get it, an opportunity for our media to rewrite what has typically been considered news for there agenda. Kinda like how now Canadian media now apparently reports on american political leanings of canadian serial killers....when it fits their narrative.

How old is the Elizabeth Fry Society building on 100 Ave - does anyone know?

I walked by earlier today and noticed some of the exterior broken off, revealing some nice-looking brick. In fact you can see some of it if you zoom in on the Google Map link.

This building is getting some restoration work done this year. I had coffee with a well known heritage architect a few weeks ago and he's involved in it.

Yeah, I saw a bunch of people walking around and investigating some of those cracks in the fall. it looks like they were assessing it for repairs.
