Too easy

I may have all of you beat. Macleod Trail across the street from a car dealership. Not sure if this Tim's Drive thru only design exists anywhere else or not. In a sick way I kind of like it for it's uniqueness.

P-p-p-p-p-please don't kill me, but the one on King isn't actually that bad. It seems at least to be an attempt at a storefront integration into the built environment.

It's a Canadian Tire.

There is no way they need that much parking.

This view kind of sums up this area perfectly: Drive thru Tim's, shitty hotel, shitty night club, bottle picker, traffic whizzing by 2 feet from pedestrians.

Funny enough I'm almost certain that night club isn't even open anymore yet that sign has been there for years.

Check out this urban blight just a little further up the road:

It fits in better to that neighbourhood than the "corporate standard" Timmies.

I am LOVING the posts so far!! You are all doing very well. Let's see some more ugly Tim's locations!

And while this is not the ugliest Tim's, this one in Toronto used to be a KFC:

The ugliest Tim's in St. John's is mainly because of location. It's a normal suburban drive-through but in the core.

Some of the Tim's out in our Soviet hellscape suburbia are clapboard and actually kind of nice.

The Walmarts and Canadian Tires are all the same - suburban big box areas, excluding a couple of little ones in 1970s areas of the city, but they look normal as well. The most offensive is Stavanger Drive. It's just the most soul-sucking place in the city to go for anything. I make a conscious effort to try to find comparable businesses if the one I want is in Stavanger.

I think our only unusually ugly chain is the Shoppers on Empire with the methadone clinic. It looks like it was build with scrap wood from the trailer park that used to be there.

Peek-A-Boo! I see you!! Framed by overhead powerlines and a Tims no less!

P.S. I love that green heritage building fronting the street next to the bus stop but I can't get over how narrow it is.

That's hilarious... that should be a thing.

I actually like that Tim's... I wish they were all that compact.

That strip is all new. There were buildings there before but the originals (generally with simpler architecture) were destroyed. This whole area burned down in the 90s, the Harvey Road Fire. It's what allowed a lot of the newer things there.

Wow. I find that bizarre that such a tiny floorplate would be built today.

I think the winner is the 3rd pic that SHH posted. Those clapboard, Soviet boxes in dandelion fields are so depressing. And that shot was taken on a sunny summer day. Imagine how it looks in the dead of winter.
