Totally agree. Some of the minutae that is discussed on here and the multitude of discussions that are really just discussions between two people in the same city can get annoying and just take up bandwith. If I wanted that I would have a Facebook account.

I also miss Molson. His rants/posts about Nickelcrud, Tim Horton's, that urban hell in Hong Kong, the Laval vernacular were classics.

I miss Molson's dry humour. It's still weird how he just left as soon as Chad did.

Agreed. But wait a minute... coincidences don't exist anymore in this post factual world. So what if MolsonEx.... and Chad.... were both the same person!?!

Speaking of a BM onctueux it appears everyone's favourite asshole told Mark Cuban he wants to be PM because he would have carte blanche to do whatever he wants.

Mine (first post) would have been regarding kwoldtimer - we know where MolsonEx went, but we have no idea what happened to our senior friend who vanished suddenly without a trace... I'm hoping he hasn't died of old age yet!

Isn't he on a trip?

Oh. I noticed that he kind of quit the site right after Trump got elected. I remember he used to post in the Trump thread in current events. I was under the assumption that the frustration of getting involved in that thread probably led him to pack it in. If that was the case, I don't blame him.

I miss his posts, too.

Yes, I do know: he left the forum. (Unlike someone who starts to be MIA without an explanation.)

Actually, just for kicks, I was curious to know if I could find him, and I just did exactly that - I now have MolsonEx's full name, full bio/resume, email address and phone numbers at work, and if I wished to, I could probably try to even find his home address and phone number.

Do you want me to try to see if I can bring him back...? I could leave him a message at work, saying a bunch of us are missing him a lot...

The internet is so weird that way. I might have had deep conversations with people over years, but I still don't know their real name.

Yeah, that's the internet! I agree it's slightly weird, when you stop and think about it. Some of us have been "dealing with each other" for up to a decade in some cases in here.

If you left suddenly and we started to miss you, I suppose we could attempt to track you down by locating an old Peterborough phone book and seeing who's the one Chinese family listed in there... I'm sure you'd still prove quite a bit more difficult to find than MolsonExport though!

Ha! Well, if you called up a random Peterborian with a Chinese name and asked them if they knew a Chinese male, early 30s who grew up in Peterborough and is interested in cities/urbanism, I'd give them a 5-10% chance that they could probably figure out who you were talking about.

Not sure if you're being facetious but if not then YES! Please e-mail him and tell him we miss him and that there is a new clockzilla waiting for him when he comes back.

Edit: I also miss Freeweed. Have wondered many times where he went and whether or not he still lurks here.

Chad left a fair bit earlier than MolsonEx, and I'm sure he had nothing to do with his departure.
I'm hoping for both of them to come back actually, they both brought a lot to this forum!

I liked freeweed too. We had lots of good exchanges. He's been gone a pretty long time though.

The only reason my wife knows about this place is because I asked her to post a note in the Man/Sask subforum explaining my absence if I should ever happen to drop dead one day...
