I am a little sad to lose the history but that's life. The reasoning is the below ground parking. The DP article is a partial reprint of Jennifer Kovaleski's work at Denver7 News. In her video segment she mentions they intend to offer parking for nearby events at the Fillmore Auditorium and the Ogden Theatre. Smart idea. Sounds a bit overhyped but certainly an improvement and nice addition to the neighborhood.

Yeah, Denver has a full plate just with the new National Western Center, the Colorado Convention Center expansion and assembling the GO Bond proposal.

Since DDP just started another study of the 16th Street Mall, that too is still in the envisioning stage. The rest of the bond proposal looks to be made up largely of previously vetted but unfunded projects from the Denver Elevate 2020 CIP.

Speaking of the CCC expansion I believe Fentress Architects is leading a team to create engineering/architectural plans. I would think that might be completed this year?

Has the CCC design work been awarded? I don't think that it has been. Fentress is involved in initial master planning, and may ultimately get the work, but I don't know if the actual RFP is even out yet.

I may be confused.

I thought I recalled reading that they were taking a closer look at various elements and their estimated cost so the city could decide on what they wanted to actually do. In any case, the city needs to decide what should be in any RFP. Whether Fentress is helping I'm uncertain.

Meeks+Partners have new renderings of the 14 story Golden Triangle project at 13th Avenue and Delaware Street. Much better than what was shown on 'Denver Cityscape'. Also, the architects have another project, 12 stories(?), that looks to be in Jefferson Park called 'Jefferson'. Denver's 'Major Projects Report' has a listing for a project with the name 'Jefferson View' at the corner of Bryon and Alcott.

Does anyone know status of this project at 7th and Grant? It was supposed to kick off in early 2016, but I'm pretty sure it still hasn't broken ground.

Heavy equipment moving onto the site today. Looks like things are getting moving. Looks like a great project, hope it has as big of an impact on that block as the swallow hill condos did a block or two away.

Me too, then I realized that only gets you a 576 SF 1 bd/1 ba likely facing Broadway. Glad to see this redevelopment though.

Yeah, stuff is still happening. Most of it isn't breaking ground anytime soon, though. El Jebel should be by end of the year, though, as far as I know. If I see them post a notice on the parking lot, you guys will be the first to know.

Wow. Any idea if there are updated renderings? Is it actually just going to be a 350 unit apartment building or is it going to be something a little more compelling and mixed use?

El Jebel...for real? Anyone seen updating renderings?

I do think there will be a move to more for-sale projects soon.
