gahh I've never felt so impatient for a building to go up before... I'm very interested to see how the new facade will look once reapplied, as it was originally almost entirely destroyed..

I'm excited too. But, what are the chances another building fills the gap on the other side of the Lister Block (King William St)?

only time will tell - king william st is prime real estate now.. can't believe I'm saying that..

I'm more concerned whether anything will ever replace zellars and the building beside the cellar- the wall where that parking lot is looks like a warzone of ripped off materials.. it's not even painted a uniform colour!

Update on this guy from our office roof: They're really progressing at this site, with dozens of workers there from 7am until anywhere from 8-9pm. They're averaging about a floor per week right now, with the forming shifting from podium to tower in the last few weeks.

In the next two to three weeks, the shape of the tower should reveal itself more.

it looks like they now have all the main floors for the facade poured - will they start to add the facade or wait until the entire thing is up? I don't know if I can wait like 4 months to see it hahaha...

also they might have to clean up the roof of the eatons center now that so many people are going to be able to look down onto it hehehe..

I know that they only have two permitted loading zones for the crane, one in front of the building on James and one on Rebecca, so I'm guessing they'll be waiting until the bulk of the tower work is done before the facade is re-installed.

blaaarghghghgh hahaha.. I really think they should open up the "hanes" facade of the eatons center to the outside now that it is going to be right across the street from this building..

and I really hope SOMETHING gets done with the eatons center..

it's weird to see the building back there - makes the wall of buildings look a bit intimidating - hopefully they put more large buildings up nearby to make it fit in more

This is going to have a massive impact on the look and feel of Hamilton's skyline!

it is a very wide building - I think it will be a great addition to the skyline and add some much needed foot traffic to the area
