That project in Mahogany is massive. Surprised it's going ahead in this environment.

Another crane is going up at Riocan site in EV today.

There was lots of work in EV today, The Hat site was busy and the crews were pouring away at the Verve and Riocan.

Driving along 9 Ave this morning I saw a crane elevator (is that the right word for it? The frame they use to add/remove sections of the crane tower) on the crane for 6th & 10th. Fairly certain this one is coming down soon.

No. They can remove the elevator sections with with a smaller spider crane once the project is closer to completion.

Those spider cranes are slick! Saw one in action at CNRL a couple years ago.

Giant crane up today at Foothills Hospital next to the parkade along 16th Ave. Not sure what's going on.

Air handling upgrade:
Quote:
The crane is needed to install an air handling unit on the roof of the Health Sciences Centre in connection with the germ free lab construction project (Western Canadian Microbiome Centre) and will be onsite for approximately six weeks.

The Windsor

The crane at The Windsor (Elbow Dr & 50th Ave SW) is being taken down right now. It appears that this project is being capped. All the hoarding was removed recently and const. trailers moved off the site.
