Thumbs down from me. Is the paint dark blue or black? I don't care for the AC maple leaf at the bottom of the fuselage. I guess i just really liked their current paint scheme. The "R" particularly looks funny on the 787 as it is cut by the door. I'm curious if Rouge's paint scheme will change as well.

I like the roundel, the rest is a big meh. They couldn't have positioned the text a touch higher so it isn't cut by the door?

It's all a bit to plane for me.

If I recall that late 90's early 2000's livery the tail was actually a very dark green. So I like the change to black/dark navy blue(?) for this.

Wasn't something similar said to describe the blue colour they used previously? Glacier blue? I mean, obviously it's all marketing speak and they probably chose the colour then figured out how to describe it, but still.

Have you ever been on a snow free frozen lake?

The star alliance tail is an exact replica of the standard 320/321 star tail that is all ready in the fleet. I expect the tail is a wrap and AC used the star wrap schematics to the painter.

The rondel will stay, likely beside the Air Canada on the fuselage. The remainder of the fuselage I'm expecting to be a grey or silver colour.

It's doubtful there will be a red rondel motif on the tail because (1) reminds everyone of the govt days, (2) looks too much like a rouge tail.

I'm thinking the tail could be something very distinct, both in terms of Ac history and other airlines.
As an aside, we now know when the 737 Max will join the fleet - October.

Yup. Hopefully we see one before the end of the year.

Any idea why they didn't include future the C-Series in the fleet page? Too early in the order/delivery schedule? I would have thought would have created some (no-cost) goodwill between AC and BBD, no?

I like the new livery, even though II'll really miss the old.

The black on the bottom slims the fuselage on all aircraft types.
I like the rondelle on the bottom.
It's a return to previous liveries.
But I'll miss the shimmering glacial blue and the maple leaf tail. The tail was in a league of its own.

As of right now one of the new A321's is set to operate AC119 on Saturday from YYZ, arrival time in the early afternoon. I'm assuming the hordes of YYC spotters will be out for it if that is the case, and we'll get some photos of it in the wild and can get a better look at it versus the press shots and renderings.
