There doesn't seem to be a bad view from the Independent. North, you look toward the Capital Dome and up a really cool CVC that will become more dense over the years; South, the river; West, the hills and the river; East, the rest of downtown and probably some river also.

Well East is nice assuming your view isn't just the west side of the 360...

although west facing 360 just became one of the most desirable views downtown. I'll try and take updated shots from my mom's place on 38

According to the Independent, they are projecting to be nearly topped out by the end of 2017. That would mean an average of a floor per week

They have officially started work on the tower portion! Already 2 floors up.

I was driving down Rio Grande today and OMG THERE WILL BE SUCH A SEXY VIEW OF THE TOWER FROM THERE! You can already see it rising and it's so prominent... I'll take a photo next time

These were all taken over the past couple days. I won't be long before this starts to make an impact on the skyline.

Thanks for the pics. I can't tell which crane's turn it is? Hope no one loses before they reach 58!

The webcam is a pretty good option:

At least one of the cranes should be jumped in the near future. Fifth & West is making good progress as well.

I've been wondering if the Eastern most crane is going to stick around now that the parking garage podium is done. It seems to be pretty far away from the tower and I can't imagine it going up 700 feet without being tethered to the tower at a few points.

No, the shorter crane is coming down soon. They will probably do it at the same time as the jump the taller one.

My little birdy says this will happen in the next two weeks. They're pouring the 14th floor right now.
