The staircase roof will be at about 170 metres.

From Anthem Properties:

Things are taking shape at Station Square as crews reach the 30th floor of #construction on Tower 2. Just 18 floors to go! #VanRE #Metrotown

Yeah, both towers are already emerging impressive. They will be tall, but ah, so plain and generic.

Lots of hope is put on the final two towers that will mark these two.

Thanks for sharing. I really like how these towers are turning-out. They all share a unified look, but each has slightly different glazing to prevent monotony.

Is it just me or did someone else here have a Star Wars flashback with this image. It totally works with the scrolling text at the beginning of the movies.

They've also been showing a commercial for this tower before the movie at Cineplex so there's that

Yeah, haven't seen the podium shots - looks pretty good.

Those balconies look narrow.

And have they altered this pic so Metropolis (parking lots) in the background looks like an insignificant strip mall?
The depth of field looks short (if that makes sense).

Also, this rendering shows no right turn lanes on Kingsway in front of Station Square.(i.e. only 3 eastbound lanes)
and shows a separated sidewalk bike lane in front of Station Square (as does the other podium shot)
- is that accurate?

Love it. I hope this is the start of a trend of international architects being used for more mainstream projects than ultra-$$$$ in Coal Harbour.

The taller tower begins to be the same height as Tower 1 and will soon overtake both our place and The Sovereign.

If this tower is taller than your place and the Sovereign (or it will be when it's done) then that means that Tower #5 (the tallest in Station Square and their "signature" tower) will be the tallest tower in Metrotown when the entire project is complete, no?

Unless I have it wrong and am reading the renders wrong.

And probably the second highest in Burnaby?

I love the look of the streetscape on Kingsway, but why are they not building separated bike lanes on the west side of the last two towers? The streetscape on that side looks sub-standard for Burnaby's urban town centre plans.

Anyways, these renders show an overall awesome looking set of towers!

6000 McKay, the fifth Station Square tower, will be 172m. That'll put it above anything in the Metrotown area, but only fifth in Burnaby. Brentwood ONE, TWO, THREE, and Altus will all be taller.

At least one of the Gilmore Place towers will be taller as well but we don't have any official heights on that development. The fourth Brentwood tower should also mirror the third so that'll beat it as well, once it's built.

PS - Great shot again, Klazu!
