The Mark will still remain the tallest of Yaletown.

I can't figure out what is the project in the foreground?

Klazu, for those of us not familiar with the downtown cityscape it would be cool if you could use an arrow to label/name/identify the different buildings/towers to which you refer.

That is an interesting perspective on the West End, with Lighthouse Park and Passage Island in the background. It really draws the East Van neighbourhood into the frame, and I am curious about where it was shot from.

Yes the 2 cranes in the foreground would be the Duke and Independent.

Great angle.

Yeah, things line up nicely and the long focal length compresses everything closely together. This was shot from our penthouse patio on the 46th floor of Metroplace tower in Metrotown, Burnaby. You can see more photos in the Metroplace thread.

Is that top form angled upwards?
Could be for an amenity or penthouse roof:

Does this building have a name? The thread title is still the address, and I can't find anything like a Wall website for it (Wall Development doesn't even have a corporate website?!). I did find something on the website for the Wall Centre Central Park. They have a "Future Project" listed as WALL CENTRE YALETOWN. Is that what this is being called?

Also, they have a WALL CENTRE 900 HASTINGS. There is currently an office building with retail on the base at this address (and I know that Regal Barbers and a tech company are moving into the building with new leases starting in April/May). Ingledews also recently relocated here. Am I missing something that was already discussed on this forum?

Link to the Wall page mentioning this:

I think the name of this project is 498 Drake.

McMinsen is correct - the Wall tower here is addressed as 498 Drake. When it is leased (it's a rental building, apparently), they might call it Wall Yaletown.

Wall Centre 900 Hastings is under construction on East Hastings; it's a condo building with non-market rental as well, and it has its own thread as 933 E Hastings.

Wow this is a massive new rental building! It looks pretty nice too, way nicer than the Onni buildings beside and close to it IMO

Maybe they were originally (pre-rezoning) planning on selling the units so they listed it on their website as Wall Centre Yaletown? I remember it being on the site well before construction even began. FWIW, "Wall Centre 900 Hastings" was rebranded as "Strathcona Village.

Anyway, here's a pic I took this afternoon from David Lam Park:
