Peace River has a very nice ski hill for a ski hill in the prairies. It looks like the Peace River valley is almost twice as deep as the North Saskatchewan River valley in Edmonton is.

No, the Empress is in NDG but they are somewhat similar. The ongoing saga of what to do with the Empress is still ongoing..

I was in Fredericton for a couple of days and it is a beautiful city. And a blast was had at a cool downtown pub!

raw almond restaurant under construction on the assiniboine river if anyones wondering what on the bottoms left












merchants hotel in the north end undergoing major renovations as part of urban renewal project speerheaded by the community what once was the seedy joint is now soon to be home to people and buisnes crime in the area droped when the bar/vender shut down.

Yeah, HDR often detracts from photos rather than improving them. But I think it's an interesting view. There aren't a lot of photos like this of Halifax's heritage neighbourhoods because they're surrounded by taller buildings and cut off from the waterfront angles photos are normally taken from. You can pretty much only get a view like this from a highrise.

There's a lot of less than amazing public housing in the North End but there are also many blocks of great old heritage homes. The Brunswick streetscape along the left side is pretty impressive.
