There are medical practices by the boatload in Midtown. You can check using your insurer's lookup tool. Some even occupy space in the class a skyscrapers

Northside is a hospital not a doctor's office (ex: GP, OGYN, Chiropractor...etc). Also, 15K new residents need more than 1 dentist office.

There are a bunch of dentists, Tech Square has one close to it at MidCity Lofts. One just opened in the Publix complex.

There's one on 12th street.

There's at least one in Colony Square at last check.

There are a handful, can more open in time, probably, but it's not a desperate need.

Some of the other things there may very well be a need for though, but we'll see once Northside opens.

You're literally never more than 2 blocks from a dentist in Midtown. They are everywhere.

Humane Society in West Midtown is selling which would at the price they are asking $10 million total - $3 million an acre would likely mean a decent mixed use development to come out of the sale if it happens.

I hope AHS finds a buyer and relocated somewhere else accessible. This potential sale and redevelopment is good for the neighborhood. I've been wondering when the 10th street interesection parcels would be developed.

For years, the Medical Arts Building has stood abandoned between Midtown and downtown, a crumbling relic of Atlanta's historic architectural pastThrough the years, the owners of the building have remained elusive, and no plans have materialized to either rehab or replace the nearly 90-year-old structure.

However, at the end of last month, the building turned up on the National Register of Historic Places, sparking speculation that it could be redeveloped with the help of historic tax credits.

Suspicions were confirmed last night when Boyd Coons, Director of the Atlanta Preservation Center, sent Curbed Atlanta information detailing the donation of the façade of the building to Easements Atlanta — a group that ensures preservation of buildings through the donation of façade easements in return for tax credits for development.With the donation, the building’s historic façade is now protected from any development plans in the future.

According to Coons, the deal is three years in the making. Global X — a group that’s made a name for themselves investing in the rehab of historic buildings across the country — approached the Atlanta Preservation Center seeking an ideal project in Atlanta.After reviewing a number of properties, global X elected to pursue the Medical Arts Building, and will ultimately facilitate the adaptive-reuse of the building, though it is still unclear exactly what the future will hold.

According to Atlanta-based Haddow & Co, which tracks Class-A apartment performance within the Interstate 285 ring, the stock of more than 32,400 units tallied a 97.5% occupancy rate and more than $1,700/month average rents as of Q3 2016. But on its heels are another 11,400 units underway, with 10,000 more units planned.

I think Midtown is safe. It seems like every month there is another large employer announcement for Midtown.

Yeah, the premise of the article was they believe in-town Atlanta is not an over-saturated market, even with everything coming online the next 2 years.

We'll see. That being said, Houston is still breaking ground on luxury apartment midrises and highrises every month even with the oil bust. Job growth just needs to stay fairly high onward.

Renovating per Acela. Doesn't say it's changed hands, so assuming still owned by Housing Authority
