That will depend on many things such as line of sight and your elevation. How good is your camera?

The next big spotlight on Philadelphia is the NFL Draft at the end of April. I don't get sucked into all the hoopla but apparently there is a ton of it, so kudos to Philly.

Any guesses as to the progress of our skyline in late April?

dont think there is much of significance to talk about aside from CTC being topped out and mostly glad in glass at that stage. Nothing else underway would really have a visual impact unless it already has one now.

Well I mean FMC Tower is pretty much visually finished at this point so there's that

1919 Market, too. I'm sure they'll get lots of B roll footage of it. Might use a dolly to sweep down from the IBX tower as the Fox football robot is superimposed jumping on it.

Some pics I took today of One Franklin and The Alexander. I really like in the One Franklin shots how you can see the old concrete on the bottom (south) side and the glass going in on the left (west).

Not sure I can gain access to anything near or above the 10/11 floors of Fine Hall . I think
it tops out at 14/15 floors and something like 175 ' .
The tower is about 45 miles from center city and I have the use of a Canon EOS 5D Mark II
and a 200 mm IS USM lense and tripod .
Fine Hall houses the mathematics and statistics departments . Maybe I can coax the prof to
grant permission under the guise of math or statistical research ........

The glass facade will do wonders to One Franklin. It will break up the monotonous look in the area. Wish the Sheraton would do something about the exterior cladding. Some of these buildings are tired and old and look it. A refresh is in order.

The Alexander might even be my favorite building under construction in Philadelphia right now. It may not be tall like Comcast Innovation, but it has this charm to it with its almost Art Deco revival facades, and how well it fits with the Mormon Temple.

Great pics! I love how this one shows that there remains a residential block going back to what looks like mid-1800's, in the lower left by the red-roofed building. That's 'so Philly', to have the old among the new.

(You mean lower right.) It is great but those buildings are in danger. They just demo'd one of them on Cherry Street for no apparent reason and they demo'd the other early 19th century building for the never built 1518 Cherry Street project a couple years ago. It's pretty sad.

I saw that one on Cherry ste was was gone and figured it had collapsed due to age. They definitely look out of character with the surrounding high rises but it does break up the city and serve as a point of reference.

Obviously a ton of unknowns exist when it involves what and where things are built but I agree , it seems a shame to destroy a
block of 19th. century architecture for ....... what .
If developers and ginormous business consultants have interest in building some 400'/600'/ 800' visual attraction in that area ,
how about at that big surface parking lot just the other side of that red roofed building . If there is a concern about loosing all
those parking spots , than have those same developers build a five or six floor parking garage at that smaller surface lot that is
diagonally across the street form the above mentioned parking lot ...... I mean , if you have that much money , why not .

I think that lot is owned by Friends Select.
