It's sad how badly they are failing in details with this building. So much potential has been trashed with poor execution in details. I absolutely hate the random mix of "clear" glass and spandrel all over the building.
Curtains are a good point, but I wish they would have gone with a dark and truly clear glass in all places and skipped any spandrel. Dark glass together with the copper one would have worked so well...
I think it looks good. One of the few good executions of clear glass and spandrel. It really helps that it's mullion-free so the difference between the glass and spandrel isn't as delineated.

True, but this is Vancouver where clear glass and LEED rule over aesthetics.

Seems that we were in the area within half an hour, Locked In.
Here's my take on the progress from Saturday. Overall the building is really starting to show its size and the bronze glazing is loathworthy. I think they could have easily avoided using generic spandrel as a pair to it, but I am hoping that the bronze will be able to overpower it in the end.
One Pacific looking fine next door.
There is starting to be a nice street presence between all the new buildings in the area.
Boy, has this view changed in the past few years...
Early morning in winter when the sun is at its lowest ain't the best time to shoot the front of the building.
Nice presence from this direction too.
Enjoy. My next update when the glazing will be ready.
Looks like it to me. It's one thing that caught my eye. Curved glass as opposed to flat panels arranged in a curve. Not something you see too often. There is curved glass at 1245 Harwood and also at the base of the Woodwards tower.
It certainly appears to be curved glass when you see it close up sitting on the trailer waiting to deliver to the site: they park near Andy Livingstone Park until the site is ready for them.
This is going to turn out to be an amazing part of downtown.
With the colours from Parq, color and shape of OnePacific, and soon to be the Arc. Great little corner of town.
It does need a bit more amenities though, Yaletown is near by but its crowded, and some great retail and eating could be nicely placed along the water for future enjoyment.
