I should've been more careful with my words. By "regular" I mean a couple times a year. The details and intricacies of my trips to Langley aren't really the point hahah, I'm just saying there are viable one-way trips that do require connections outside of the currently allowed period.
I don't think raising the fare to extend this time would be worth it though. I really don't think it's a problem that extends to very many people. You're right in that if it was an actually regular trip, a month pass would get rid of the issue.
But the issue is still something to think about as our region grows and trips become longer, even if they're occasional. I'm pretty sure a number of other transit agencies I've used in other cities have had 2 hour connection windows, though I can't remember which ones now.
