But skyline pics, we all should know the skylines of at least the top 10.

Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between Calgary and Edmonton, so a caption of some sort would be helpful.

I never really liked the Bow myself

I duno, even if it has a very decent height, it kind of looks like obese at the same time. But don't get me wrong it's not a failure and it is really helping Calgary's skyline !

Not everyone recognizes even the top ten skylines on sight. It would be courteous to identify the city for newbies or visitors, IMO. It isn't a big job after all.

I like the Bow. It elevated tower design in Calgary substantially so was bound to be a little jarring. It does look out of place only because the other towers aren't all that interesting. Brookfield has helped the Bow stick out less as will Telus Sky. All 3 better reflect the city that Calgary is today: wealthier, more sophisticated, more cosmopolitan.

I could do without the spine but, that's just me nitpicking. There is nothing I like about the street level but, this is about skylines.

What would be courteous would be for everyone to not hassle the people who spend the time posting photos. If you can't tell Edmonton and Calgary apart, you're not paying close enough attention. If you can't identify a skyline, or a close up of part of one, then spend five minutes and find out . . . take it on as a challenge and soon you will know them all.

I also think the Bow is a too wide presence on the skyline. I was hoping that Brookfield would work in partnership with the Bow and make a good contrasting pair. Unfortunately, Brookfield is about 5-7 stories short for that. Something else will no doubt come along and create a nicer grouping. The Bow's exterior is nice enough that if complimented properly it will fit its own skin better. Some Day . . .

The Bow itself is a fantastic skyscraper. But I've never cared for it in the skyline. It sticks out in a bad way. Probably because it is so wide and at the edge.

I think the Bow looks great in all these pictures, it's not too wide and doesn't dominate too much. The design really stands out in the last one, but we need contrast in the skyline, otherwise it's boring. Telus Sky should also be different enough that it stands out too.
