Driving on the TCH this am I see Nova International Kubota has their future home sign up across the Highway from The JCB and John Deere industrial dealerships. I'm guessing access will be through the development on Fils de Jesus

The new Dollarama on Filles de Jesus drive is now enclosed and the parking lot has been paved almost the whole way to Elmwood dr. The lines have even been painted on.

In behind this (next to the Sobey's), there is a lot of construction activity going on. Not sure if this is for the new industrial park entrance or not.

As for the development north of the Elmwood/TCH intersection, they are definitely levelling it out. From the looks of things, there is going to be a retaining wall next to the on ramp to the TCH. It's got quite a drop off at the moment.

This refers to this development between Shediac Road & the CNR mainline, just to the south of the new expansion of the Caledonia Industrial Park.

I've just noticed that this plan has what appears to be a street extending north across the CN line and into the new Caledonia development. It would be great if this was the case since I find several neighborhoods lack interconnectivity in the metro area. But the Humphrey brook render seems more conceptual while this Caledonia render seems set in stone with no south extension.

I just had a closer look at the plan for the Caledonia Industrial Park expansion, and if you look closely at the east end of the extension to Filles de Jesus Avenue, you will see a "future street" connector (heading south), which would appear to line up with the street heading northward on the plan for the Humphrey Brook subdivision.

As such, there would appear to be firm plans to connect the two developments.

Good find MonctonRad. I does seem to correspond with the other render.

This is the time to do this, before the residential area becomes too well established and opposition builds against a connection through the industrial area.

Here is the link to the very detailed pdf for the Humphrey Brook Neighbourhood Plan which will occupy a large portion of the east end of the city north of the Shediac Road.

This development will occupy 505 acres, with the current plan suggesting that it will contain nearly 2500 residential units of all types, which would likely mean a residential population in the vicinity of 8,000 people.

This map shows the integrated parkland as well as the proposed walking and biking trails in the neighbourhood.

This map shows proposed zoning within the neighbourhood.

This table shows the housing types that would correspond to the proposed zoning areas within the development.

The pdf is very detailed and comprehensive and should be read by anyone interested in urban planning matters in the city of Moncton. It is obvious that great care has been taken with this important document.

Chatter on line is that Canadian Blood Services is moving into the strip mall on Elmwood behind Starbucks (building permit in the window). I don't know if this means they are moving from their current location on Mapleton Road, or if this will be a new location, but I would suspect the former.

Any chance this is one of those new for profit plasma clinics and someone has mixed this up for being Canadian Blood Services? They seem to be in the news lately and possibly somewhat controversial. I have donated blood at the Canadian Blood Services at 500 Mapleton and it looks like the government spent some money on that clinic which is quite new, why would they leave, doesn't sound like a sound economical decision and it is already a great location?

I will bet dollars to donuts it's not CBS moving in there.
Igo by there from time to time on my to and from work. If I can remember, I'll stop in and ask and look at the building permit which should be displayed.

You may have hit the nail on the head there. Online chatter now seems to indicate that this will indeed be a "plasma clinic", hence it will be the private for profit facility that has been in the news recently. If so, then Canadian Blood Services will be staying put on Mapleton.

Even the T&T is calling it a "plasma clinic"

There's a definite depression in the ground corresponding to the buildings indicated in this rendering below of the Shannex Faubourg du Mascaret on the UdeM campus on Morton Avenue.

I presume this represents an initial excavation for a foundation and that these buildings will be built in 2017.

Yeah I drive by there almost everyday and I've seen that, I was wondering if they were going to be building just one or both since I only see one depression and not two. Although now that I'm looking at this picture I see that they are both connected by the first floor, that is continuous through out both buildings. In hind sight, if it was only one of the buildings I don't think there would be room for the second one in between the road and the first depression, must be both.
