Should post that in the Canada Reclad thread if you haven't already Dave - thanks for the photo update.

And of course ... Congrats to Ian on his appointment.

Word on C2E is that OEG has purchased the Affordable Storage building, who are building a new facility on 118 Ave.

I am currently renting a space in Affordable Storage and I haven't heard anything about this yet. If this is true, the logistics of moving for both them and for renter like me will be crazy. Or I might move my — to another storage facility.

Can anyone here confirm this news?

The building on 104th? Sounds plausible to me.

^YESSSS!!! What a waste of a beautiful building that storage business is. Hope it turns into lofts with restaurants at ground level.

Huge potential.

it's that "waste of a beautiful building" that preserved that beautiful builidng for the last 3 decades. while it is probably getting to the point where it isn't "highest and best use" anymore, that "waste" is what kept it from becoming just another surface parking lot through all those years when there wasn't "huge potential".

Does ownership of the storage facility come with the lot just north of it. That seemed like a natural place for a new tall condo tower if you ask me...

That would be the plan, it was originally the idea to tie in 104st to Ice District. I would love for them to renovate the building into modern lofts and add a tower to the north at say around 25-30 storeys or 100m to stagger down from Tower B.

Re: COE tower sign

That looks handsome.

Kinda surprised they didn't have a ICE sign up there also The west sign will be conveniently blocked by the JW Marriott.
