Quebecers aren't really the best at architecture (now).

Burgoo? Just my speculation, but it seems a reasonable guess as the signage on the window says Forehand, which operates the Burgoo Bistros.

Went in there today (their mailout brochure had a coupon for a free reusable shopping bag with their trademark postal code design (like the mailboxes))

Nice store - seems very open (i.e. a bit bare).

It's a bit odd that they have peg displays of things around the seating areas, etc.
They look like they'd be free items - but they aren't.

Lots of mailboxes in the back - large sized ones too.

One oddity - there's an automatic door inside an exterior manual door.

... and watch out for the step from the plaza to the sidewalk - my foot did a "drop" there and I almost stumbled.

They had a cool vending machine for stamps which apparently is open 24/7.

The Pine St operation is similar designed by someone who's never actually been in a store-of course this is Canada Post we're talking about here.

I'd been hoping that they would have put in something where you can pick up your packages 24/7, but I guess that's just wishful thinking.

They have change rooms so you can try on online purchases and if you don't like what you ordered/wrong size you can return it right away. Pretty good idea

I popped into the designer outlet at YVR yesterday, i missed my flight and had some time to kill. Anyway a few new stores have opened since my last visit a couple months ago.

Club Monaco, Folli Follie, UGG, Ted Baker

And a new Michael Kors which looks like it could open in time for black friday as it still had paper on the windows but you could see inside that the store was fully merchandised

The lineup for Coach was about 50 people long before it even opened, just after it opened the line stretched across the way to the ralph lauren store

if you're shopping this weekend coach has 50% off everything + 40% off clearance items (I once got a $595 bag in seattle for $127 with that 50 + 40 off combo)

J Crew had 50% off store wide
Fossil had 60% off everything - I've only ever seen them have 50% off before
a lot of other stores had 60% off or 50%, polo had 40% off.

some pics - all 3 are next to each other and will be a good draw for this fairly quiet area

yup they will be a discount brand like guess soon if they keep plugging stores in every mall. have to keep stores limited to make the best bang for the buck.
